19th January 2009Hampshire and Isle of Wight Village of the Year 2013, kindly sponsored by Fuller’s Brewery

Village of the Year (VOY) is a long established competition supporting, encouraging and celebrating our rural communities. Village communities are self-defining; if the community considers it lives in a village, it is eligible to enter VOY. Previous winners include Vernham Dean (Test Valley) 2012, Bishops Sutton (Winchester) 2011 and North Waltham (Basingstoke and Deane) 2010.
The Press Release detailing the 2013 Competition can be found here
To enter
Simply return a narrative on each of the categories outlining how your village is special. Photos and other attachments/enclosures are welcome. Remember to include your full contact details, and details of the organisation which is entering on behalf of the village. Simply send your submission to the Hampshire ALC before the closing date. It would be useful asap if you could let us know you are entering so we can judge the size of the competition.
