SANDLEHEATH PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY FOR A CLERK
Sandleheath Parish Council requires a Clerk to commence employment on the 2nd September 2013. The employment will be part-time & you will work an average of 4 hours per week. You will work from home & an allowance will be paid to cover this. You will be required to take Minutes of meetings of the Parish Council and deal with the correspondence of the Council. Meetings of the Council are held approximately once every 5 or 6 weeks though there will be occasions when special meetings of the Council are held. Salary & working conditions will be broadly in line with Local Government scales.

SOPLEY PARISH COUNCIL

PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER
Working hours – 60 per month
Salary will be in the range £8.92 - £10.20 per hour depending on the successful applicant’s qualifications and previous experience. (NJC Scale LC1 SCP18-22)
Sopley Parish Council wishes to appoint a Parish Clerk whose role will also include that of the
Responsible Financial Officer. The Parish is located in the South Western corner of the New Forest, has a resident population of approximately 700 people, an annual precept of £20,000 and the Parish Council manages a Community Hall, Burial Ground, areas of open space and actively assists in the maintenance of an extensive rights of way network. Skills required – Good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
together with the ability to keep accurate accounting records. Competence in the use of information technology including the use of word-processing software, financial management spreadsheets and web-page management software would be an advantage. Previous local government or other public sector experience is desirable
and the successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to attend appropriate training courses including those leading to the CiLCA qualification. The clerk will be expected to work mainly from home and to have his/her own transport
for which appropriate expenses will be reimbursed. Some evening work and weekend work will be required.

WEST TYTHERLEY AND FRENCHMOOR PARISH COUNCILS

Salary is in the region of £3500 (plus expenses) depending on experience
Councilors are seeking someone with an interest in local activities. Excellent administrative,
communication (both written and oral) and Interpersonal skills, together with IT competence The ability to keep accurate accounting records is essential.
The ideal candidate will have some knowledge and experience of local council administration.
The work entails dealing with all correspondence, arranging Parish Council meetings, attending and taking the minutes for these meetings and subsequently circulating them to Parish Councilors and other interested parties. He or she will work from home and have his/her own transport and computer equipment,
a small financial allowance is paid to cover expenses for this. Some evening work will be required. Closing date for applications is 1st June 2013
