Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust
Local Nature Partnership Co-ordinator

Five Months Fixed Term appointment from 1st February 2012
Responsible to Senior Bio-Diversity Officer (with Chief Executive overseeing)
£25,657 p/a pro rata plus 9% pension contribution
(plus annual % increase from 1st April in line with Trust remuneration committee decision)

The LNP Coordinator’s role is to manage and coordinate capacity-building and development work over a 5-month period, leading to the anticipated establishment of a Local Nature Partnership (LNP) for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Local Nature Partnerships were introduced in the Government’s Natural Environment White Paper in June 2011 to drive local action for nature.   The post is being funded by Defra as part of the LNP capacity building fund.
Some evening and weekend working may be required. Travelling to all parts of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will be required. A full driving licence will be necessary, although use of public transport is preferred under the Trust’s environmental policy.
