

Hampshire ALC Communications Awards 2010
The ALC runs annual Communications Awards with presentations at the AGM; this year's presentations happened on Saturday 23 October 2010 (venue to be confirmed).
2009 winners were Headbourne Worthy and Kings Worthy, Winchester District for their joint Website and Horndean PC, East Hampshire for its Newsletter. Louise Channell is Judge for the Website Competition and Kate Rowlandson is Judge for the Newsletter Competition. 2008 winners were Ringwood and Ampfield respectively.

Local Council Ambassadors
The ALC has launched an Award to note the Outstanding Contribution certain individuals have made to the local council sector in Hampshire and more widely.
Current ambassadors are: Cally Morris, Cllr Helen Douglas, Michael Woodhall, Kate Rowlandson, Cllr Keith House and Steve Parkinson.
Further awards will be made at a reception in June 2010. This group will be utilised as an informal think-tank for certain issues and will attend a yearly reception, as a means of promoting our local councils with important stakeholders.
CPRE Countryside and Design Awards
The ALC supports these awards given by CPRE and Goodworth Clatford and Buriton have been recent recipients. The criteria can be found here, and the application form here.
